Friends,

Yesterday I went to the HISD Board meeting to hear from recently appointed Superintendent Mike Miles, who has been the source of much anger and frustration for Houston parents. I attended to learn more about Miles’ new “NES” school program and to see if it’s as bad as some people think.

My thoughts after attending? It’s worse.

The more I learn about the plan for Destination 2035 the more I can see this is all about bringing in AI to the classroom and eliminating teachers in the long term.

I am actually working on an investigative report specifically focused on the HISD take over and what it means in the larger context of schools across Texas and the U.S. Stay tuned for that.

In the meantime, you can watch the short clip below.

Thanks for the support.
